After a fairly successful show in 2016, it seems that the Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell was poise for the number spot in the Browns Depth Chart. Cleveland fans had high expectation for Crowell moving into the 2017 season. So far, performance has not lived up to the hype!
Crowell finished last season with 1,271 all purpose yards with 952 coming from the ground without a fumble. Crowell played all 16 games and averaged 4.8 yards per carry and had 7 TDs. In the off-season, the Browns compiled a star studded offensive line. This season seemed to be the season to watch Isaiah Crowell explode.
Currently Crowell is averaging 2.8 yards per carry, and a miserable 35 yards per game. All the pieces seemed to be in place, but somehow the puzzle is still unfinished. We are looking forward to Crowell to have a bounce back game this weekend in Indianapolis as the Colts have a 28th rank defensive and have given up 31 points per game this year. Wide Receiver Corey Coleman is out, so the Browns will need a solid performance in the running game. The Browns need this win. My money is on Isaiah returning to peak form in this game.
