Power Rankings and Predictions – October 2017

Join us each month as we evaluate the top talents in the WWE. Our team will rank out the top 10 superstars based on their in-ring ability, promos, and overall appeal. Along with Power Rankings, we will also provide our predictions on what to expect from these superstars moving forward.

Brock Lesnar

1.) Brock Lesnar – The Beast Incarnate continues his reign as Universal Champion having defended his gold against superstars such as Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman. The champ has beaten his challengers clean and hasn’t been pinned in quite some time. Expect him to retain gold until a feud is sparked between he and Roman Reigns. (Ryan Devillier)

2.) Roman Reigns – Coming off of a huge win over John Cena, Reigns can easily be described as the superstar with the most positive momentum. The Big Dog has claimed his yard and looks to start his ascension toward championship gold. Expect Roman to take out The Miz and earn the Intercontinental Championship en route to facing Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34 for a chance at the Universal Championship. (Devillier)

3.) Braun Strowman – The Monster Among Men is easily the strongest superstar on the roster. Despite losing to Brock Lesnar at No Mercy, Braun will continue to wreak havoc on Monday Night Raw and likely get another shot at Lesnar on a larger stage. Stroman’s character will continue to build and he will continue to be a must watch on RAW with or without Championship Gold. (Devillier)

AJ Styles

4.) AJ Styles – The Face that Runs the Place and two-time United States Champion is highly regarded as one of the best in the business. As his feud with Kevin Owens is seemingly closed, a new feud with Baron Corbin has sparked. Expect A.J. to continue to work with new up-and-comers. (Devillier)

5.) The Miz – Loved by some and hated by many, the current and seven-time Intercontinental Champion has become a staple on Monday Night Raw. With a feud against Roman Reigns in the midst, look for The Miz to likely lose his gold and move down in the rankings. (Devillier)

6.) Kevin Owens – KO and his vendetta against the McMahon’s is very reminiscent of the Attitude Era. Owens is on a rampage and is destroying everything in his way. Will he be derailed when he faces Shane McMahon at Hell in a Cell or will this fuel the fire for an even more fierce feud? (Devillier)

7.) Jinder Mahal – Despite being the reigning WWE Champion for four months running, it feels like Jinder wouldn’t still hold gold if it wasn’t for outside interference. In Jinder’s biggest title defenses he was able to pull off victories thanks to the help of The Great Khali and The Singh Brothers. (Devillier)

8.) Shinsuke Nakamura – Known as the Master of Strong Style,Nakamura  is on the rise and has some impressive victories over top-level talent, beating the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton. Expect Nakamura to eventually take out Jinder Mahal to earn his first WWE championship… Maybe even this Sunday at Hell in a Cell. (Devillier)

Rollins & Ambrose

9.) Rollins & Ambrose – Did someone say Shield reunion?! All signs point to a reunion on the very near horizon thanks to current situation Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns find themselves in. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are both former WWE Champions and the current holders of the RAW Tag Teams Titles. I’m going to take the easy way out (don’t shoot me) and keep this dynamic duo together in the Power Rankings.  I expect big things out of these 2, especially if we’re going in a Shield reunion direction. (Corey Knight)

10.) Neville – Self-proclaimed “King of the Cruiserweights” has been on quite a roll over the last 10 months or so, defeating the likes of Rich Swann and Austin Aries during a 197 day title reign. Neville held the cruiserweight title for a very impressive 197 days during his first run as Champion.  I’m guessing Neville will get another chance at the championship in the very near future. (Knight)
